Entrance exams
English proficiency requirements
Applicants must show proficiency in English, the language of instruction at LAU. Proficiency may be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
- A minimum score of 90 on the Internet-based TOEFL (IBT), or
- Passing the English Entrance Exam (EEE) administered at LAU with a minimum score of 550.
- Applicants with EEE scores between 500 and 549, or its equivalent on the TOEFL, have to register for ENG009 Remedial English, a three-credit course, or retake the English test within the first year of enrollment.
- Applicants with EEE scores below 500, or 80 on the Internet–based TOEFL (iBT), will not be accepted in the graduate programs.
English proficiency exams may not be required from applicants from recognized universities where the language of instruction is English.

Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
Applicants to the graduate programs in the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering must submit their official GRE scores. To register for the GRE, please visit www.ets.org. The code for LAU is 0954.
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Applicants to the MBA program in the School of Business must submit their official GMAT scores. To register for the GMAT, please visit www.mba.com. The code for LAU is 0954.
