The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office collects data from:
- The application submitted by the student
- Supporting documents
- A personal interview with the applicant and his/her parent(s) or guardian.
When you apply for financial aid, your application will be assessed and a decision is made by a committee of LAU administrators and a faculty representative. You might be granted a financial aid package that combines work-study, grant, and a loan. If you have an excellent academic record, you might be granted a scholarship. You can also benefit from student employment to gain work experience and enhance your leadership skills.
Work - Study program
The work-study program gives you the opportunity to gain work experience, discipline, and a sense of personal responsibility and accomplishment. Students are assigned to work in offices/divisions across the university for a certain number of hours per semester, at the rate of $9.95 per hour. View the eligibility and the disqualification.
A certain percentage of a student’s tuition may be covered by a grant depending on financial need.
Special donors’ grants
These grants are awarded by external donors. View if you are eligible and apply.
Fransabank Loans to Lebanese students
The FransaBank Loan program is a supplementary form of financial aid offered to eligible students of Lebanese nationality demonstrating financial need. Only students with a declared undergraduate major are eligible for a bank loan. Bridge, freshman, intensive, undecided or special students are NOT eligible. View the conditions.
